Topuria has fired a warning to Gaethje ahead of their showdown at UFC White House.
UFC lightweight champion Ilia Topuria has recently made headlines with his funeral-themed Instagram post, which featured framed photographs of his past three opponents and his upcoming opponent, Justin Gaethje.
Topuria is scheduled to lock horns with Gaethje in the main event of UFC Freedom 250 at the White House on June 14. The two-weight champion never lacks confidence leading up to his fights. He has also mentioned on several occasions that he has already defeated his opponents in his mind before he faces them inside the octagon.
In the post, ‘El Matador’ offered red roses to Alexander Volkanovski, Max Holloway, and Charles Oliveira. However, he has a special white rose for Gaethje. Topuria captioned the post:
“The White House. A white rose. And a nap in its gardens. Not many can say that, Justin.”

Ilia Topuria is now the only undefeated champion in the UFC
After Khamzat Chimaev lost to Sean Strickland at UFC 328, Topuria is the only undefeated champion in the UFC. He will look to improve his record to 18-0 with a win over ‘The Highlight.’
Meanwhile, Gaethje has fought for the undisputed lightweight title on two previous occasions but fell short to Khabib Nurmagomedov and Charles Oliveira.
The Georgian-Spaniard has long expressed his desire to fight Islam Makhachev, but the fight never materialized as Makhachev moved up to 170 pounds. Topuria has previously expressed his desire to become a three-weight world champion. A win against Gaethje could see Topuria locking horns with Makhachev in the future for the welterweight title.
However, Topuria is currently focused on the task at hand and often shares behind-the-scenes glimpses of his work in training. He is looking in peak physical condition as he prepares to crush Gaethje’s final hope of winning an undisputed UFC title.
