Recent footage has emerged online that shows former UFC interim lightweight champion Dustin Poirier threatening to beat up an airline employee before getting arrested.
Poirier was arrested on Father’s Day for alleged public intoxication. He has since shared a message on Instagram, stating that he is working on himself.
The security personnel’s bodycam footage shows Poirier hurling slurs and attempting to provoke a fight. Poirier’s agitation appeared to stem from being removed from a flight. Poirier said:
“Man I’ll fight you right now. Tell’m come on, ’cause it’s gonna be bad”
Despite repeated warnings from the officer, who had already recognized Poirier, the 37-year-old refused to calm down. The situation escalated to the point where the officer drew his taser as a precautionary measure.
After continuing to intimidate the officer, Poirier was ultimately arrested and escorted away by the cops. However, as he was being taken away, ‘The Diamond’ appeared calmer and even praised the airport security officer for handling the situation well.

Ben Askren and Sean Strickland React to Dustin Poirier’s Airport Arrest Footage
Former UFC welterweight Ben Askren shared footage on social media showing Poirier enjoying himself at the airport before the situation escalated. In the video, Poirier could be seen playfully wrestling with a fan inside the airport. Askren wrote:
“He was having a good time at the airport. Wrestled some of my friends.”

Reigning UFC middleweight champion Sean Strickland has also weighed in on the situation, reacting to Dustin Poirier’s arrest video in his typically unfiltered fashion. He appeared amused by ‘The Diamond’s’ conduct and commented:
“Bro that man is a real ni$$a idc. He forgot he was white.”
