“I don’t know what other records there will be for me to chase, but right now in my division there are some very strong title contenders. Looking ahead, I think I have at least three more exciting and very difficult fights in front of me.”

With few records left to chase in terms of pure numbers, Makhachev appears to be shifting his focus toward matchups that present a genuine challenge rather than milestone-hunting. He’s also expressed interest in getting back into the Octagon before Ramadan 2027, giving a rough window for when his next move could come.
