UFC lightweight champion Ilia Topuria has stated that he considers Alex Pereira the greatest of all time during the UFC Freedom 250 pre-fight press conference.
Topuria is set to clash with Justin Gaethje in the White House headliner to unify the 155-pound titles. Meanwhile, Alex Pereira will face Ciryl Gane in the co-main event for the interim heavyweight championship. In recent weeks, Topuria and Pereira have developed a friendly relationship.
The Georgian-Spaniard had made headlines at an earlier press conference when he took a stand for Pereira after Josh Hokit fired insults at the Brazilian.

During the presser, Topuria was asked if ‘Poatan’ will become the GOAT of MMA if he becomes a three-weight champion this weekend. ‘El Matador’ replied:
“It doesn’t matter what’s going to happen on Sunday, to me he’s the GOAT.”
