Ilia Topuria and Justin Gaethje trade final warnings ahead of UFC Freedom 250 title clash

UFC lightweight champion Ilia Topuria and interim champion Justin Gaethje have faced off for the final time ahead of their UFC Freedom 250 headliner at the White House. Both fighters weighed in at the championship limit of 155 pounds.

After stepping on the scales, Topuria and Gaethje exchanged final messages with Joe Rogan. Topuria is confident of improving his record to 18-0 with a stylish victory over ‘The Highlight,’ while Gaethje has vowed to end the champion’s undefeated streak. They said:

Gaethje: “I was absolutely made for this sh*t. I will take his 0 away from him tomorrow night, you watch.”

Topuria: “Tomorrow night we are gonna live the American dream. I’m gonna get another victory, 18-0. I’m gonna get that victory with fashion.”

Ilia Topuria vows to finish Justin Gaethje in round one and dares him to prove him wrong

During the UFC Freedom 250 pre-fight presser, Ilia Topuria predicted an early first-round knockout at the White House and challenged the American to prove him wrong. The Georgian-Spaniard said:

“I feel that I’m the best. If you think I’m not, just prove me wrong if you can. I know that I’m gonna take his lights out in the first round.”

Topuria enters the bout on the back of three successive knockout victories over Alexander Volkanovski, Max Holloway, and Charles Oliveira. Meanwhile, Gaethje delivered a dominant performance against Paddy Pimblett in his last outing. Fans are expecting fireworks when the two heavy-hitters finally step inside the cage.
