During a recent sit-down with Ariel Helwani, former UFC two-weight champion Conor McGregor has claimed that the UFC has already booked him for a second fight in April 2027, following his UFC 329 welterweight headliner against Max Holloway on July 11.

McGregor’s showdown against Holloway will mark the end of a five-year hiatus. ‘The Notorious’ stepped away from the sport after breaking his leg in his last outing against Dustin Poirier at UFC 264. Meanwhile, Holloway has maintained his spot at the top of the game.

The 37-year-old was scheduled to face Michael Chandler in 2024. However, McGregor was forced to withdraw from the bout due to an injury.

This will mark the second meeting between the Irishman and the Hawaiian. The two first locked horns at UFC Fight Night 26 in 2013, where McGregor won via unanimous decision.

“It’s almost a year later! That’s ridiculous to me. This is the way the contract was done.”
