Michael Venom Page is officially a free agent after the UFC declined to offer him a new contract, and Scott Coker’s new promotion could be a landing spot worth watching.
Page’s UFC run ended on a 5-1 record, closing out his contract with a decision win over Nursulton Ruziboev at UFC Paris. Despite the winning record, UFC matchmakers opted not to re-sign him, with Dana White confirming the promotion had no interest in bringing him back. Page’s UFC tenure was defined by a lack of finishes, a stark contrast to the highlight-reel knockouts that built his reputation during his Bellator run under Coker.

Scott Coker on Michael Venom Page’s Style
“I love his fighting style. Some people say he’s not active enough. But I come from a martial arts background, and he’s very much a martial arts fighter,” Coker told MMA Fighting.
Inside Scott Coker’s New Promotion
Scott Coker recently unveiled his new venture, Ki MMA, backed by $60 million in funding and set to launch in the first quarter of 2027. The promotion’s centerpiece will be a 32-man Featherweight World Grand Prix, featuring eight fighters each from North America, South America, Europe, and Asia, competing through regional brackets before a global final.
In a twist aimed at recapturing old-school tournament excitement, semifinal winners in the grand finale will fight twice in a single night. Fights will take place in a ring rather than a cage, breaking from the format used by the UFC and most major promotions. San Jose, California, is among the markets being considered for the inaugural event.
Coker made clear the promotion isn’t shy about spending to build its roster.
“If you’re a free agent, give us a call, no free agent is untouchable for us,” Coker said.
With Michael Venom Page now available and Coker openly praising his style, Ki MMA appears to be a legitimate contender for his signature, alongside interest already expressed by MVP MMA and BKFC.
