Conor McGregor looks locked in for his UFC 329 return.
McGregor faces Max Holloway on July 11 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, more than a decade after beating him by unanimous decision in their first meeting. The rematch takes place at welterweight, with McGregor returning after a long layoff and Holloway looking to avenge one of the earliest losses of his UFC career.
During UFC 329 media day, ‘The Notorious‘ posed for a new promotional shoot and delivered another warning to Holloway. The Irishman said:
“We know this boy very well, we have our moves. I’m excited to contort his body and do damage into a finish.”

Conor McGregor’s Early Damage Threat Could Decide Max Holloway Rematch
The comment fits Conor McGregor’s tone throughout fight week. He has repeatedly made it clear that he expects to hurt Max Holloway and finish the fight, rather than simply survive his comeback test.
Their first meeting came in 2013, with McGregor winning all three rounds on the scorecards. Holloway has changed significantly since then, becoming one of the best volume strikers in UFC history and building his reputation around pace, durability, and late-fight pressure.

That is the challenge for McGregor. The Hawaiian is difficult to put away, and his best work often comes once opponents begin to slow down. If the fight extends, Holloway’s output could become a major problem.
McGregor’s clearest path is early damage. His timing, counters, and left hand remain the main weapons ‘Blessed’ must respect. If he can force Holloway to reset, punish entries, and stop the Hawaiian from building rhythm, the fight becomes much more dangerous.
UFC 329 now comes down to one question. Can McGregor still create the same kind of damage after years away from the Octagon?
Holloway will test that quickly.
