Colby Covington has officially joined Hype FC after retiring from the UFC earlier this year. The former Interim UFC Welterweight Champion now has a chance to compete outside the promotion and potentially revisit his rivalry with Arman Tsarukyan.
Covington retired from the UFC earlier this year with the intention of continuing his wrestling career outside the promotion, allowing him to compete against active UFC fighters at Real American Freestyle.
He made an immediate statement at RAF by becoming the first to defeat Arman Tsarukyan, setting up an intriguing rivalry between the two. The inaugural RAF Cruiserweight Crossover Champion is now a part of Hype FC.
Arman Tsarukyan Already Holds Hype FC Gold, And Now Colby Covington Is Coming For It
Arman Tsarukyan currently holds a championship in Hype FC and most recently defended his belt by submitting Ankit Baiyanpuria. With Covington now officially part of the promotion, a rematch between the two could become one of Hype FC’s biggest possible fights.
The promotion’s announcement of Colby Covington’s signing came moments ago, setting the stage for a potential second chapter between “Chaos” and Tsarukyan.
