UFC lightweight contender Arman Tsarukyan has revealed that he already has an opponent and date in place for his next Octagon appearance.
According to comments shared by Championship Rounds on X, the Armenian star will travel to Las Vegas on Monday to finalize the agreement.
“We put pen to paper Monday and that’s it. It’s gonna be a good fight, exciting fight, and the best place to fight for me.”
Tsarukyan also made an ambitious prediction regarding the remainder of his year.
“This year, 2 fights, 2 belts.”

Arman Tsarukyan could be headed for another title opportunity
While the identity of his opponent remains unknown, Arman Tsarukyan’s comments have already sparked significant speculation.
‘Ahalkalakets‘ was originally scheduled to face Islam Makhachev for the UFC lightweight championship at UFC 311 last year, but had to withdraw from the bout due to a back injury just days before the event. Despite the setback, Tsarukyan remains firmly positioned near the top of the division and could immediately find himself back in title contention.
A potential showdown against newly crowned lightweight champion Justin Gaethje is one possibility. Such a matchup would pit two of the division’s most exciting fighters against one another and could serve as one of the biggest fights the UFC can make at 155 pounds.
However, a rematch with Charles Oliveira also remains a realistic option.
The pair previously met at UFC 300, where Tsarukyan edged out Oliveira via split decision in a highly competitive bout. Given the closeness of the contest and Oliveira’s continued status as one of the division’s elite contenders, the UFC could opt to run the fight back with major title implications attached.
Regardless of the opponent, Tsarukyan appears confident that he will fight for championship gold in the near future.
The 29-year-old has built one of the strongest resumes in the division, holding victories over ‘Do Bronx,’ Beneil Dariush, and Dan Hooker. A win in his next outing would further cement his position among the lightweight elite.
For now, fans will have to wait for Monday’s expected signing, but Tsarukyan has made his intentions clear: he plans to stay active and end the year with UFC gold around his waist.
