UFC 333 has officially been announced, with a pair of championship fights headlining a stacked card at Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi on October 24.
Alexander Volkanovski will defend the UFC featherweight championship against undefeated contender Movsar Evloev in the main event, while Petr Yan will put his bantamweight title on the line against Merab Dvalishvili in the co-main event.

Movsar Evloev Finally Gets His Title Shot at UFC 333
Movsar Evloev will enter the biggest fight of his career with an unbeaten 20-0 record. The Russian has won all 10 of his UFC appearances and secured his title opportunity with a decision victory over Lerone Murphy in March. His résumé also includes UFC wins over Arnold Allen, Diego Lopes and Aljamain Sterling.

Volkanovski, meanwhile, is 28-4 and will make the second defense of his second featherweight title reign. The Australian has put together consecutive victories over Lopes since reclaiming the 145-pound championship, and now faces one of the division’s most difficult stylistic challenges in Evloev.
Evloev’s undefeated record is particularly notable given that 13 of his 20 professional victories have come by decision. Volkanovski will therefore have to deal with a fighter whose wrestling, control, and relentless pace have carried him through an unbeaten UFC run.
Yan and Dvalishvili Set for Trilogy
The bantamweight title fight carries an entirely different level of history.
Petr Yan and Merab Dvalishvili have split their first two meetings. Dvalishvili won their first fight by unanimous decision in 2023 before Yan avenged the defeat at UFC 323 in December 2025, reclaiming the bantamweight championship and ending Dvalishvili’s unbeaten run. Yan enters the trilogy riding four consecutive victories.

With the rivalry tied 1-1, their UFC 333 meeting will determine who ultimately claims bragging rights and control of the bantamweight division.
Stacked Main Card
The announced main card also features several intriguing matchups.
Lone’er Kavanagh will face Ramazan Temirov in a flyweight contest. Kavanagh enters with a 10-2 record, while Temirov is 20-3, giving the matchup a clash between two aggressive prospects looking to establish themselves in the division.
At heavyweight, Alexander Volkov will take on Rizvan Kuniev. The bout pits the experienced Volkov against Kuniev, who has emerged as an increasingly dangerous contender in the division.
The card also features a major featherweight clash between Arnold Allen and Aaron Pico. Allen owns a 21-4 record and has already shared the Octagon with elite contenders, while Pico enters the matchup looking to make a statement in the UFC’s featherweight division.
With two title fights and several high-level matchups already confirmed, UFC 333 is shaping up as one of the promotion’s strongest cards of 2026.
