Conor McGregor Stays Motivated During ACL and Meniscus Rehabilitation With Powerful Message

Conor McGregor

Conor McGregor is not sitting still. Less than three weeks removed from tearing his ACL and meniscus on the first kick he threw against Max Holloway at UFC 329, McGregor has shared footage of himself working through rehabilitation and delivered a message that tells you exactly where his head is at.

The Quote That Captured Everything

“Where there’s a will, there’s a way. Where there’s a way, there are a billion ways. Don’t get stuck on one plan. Grind until you find the angle that works for you.”

That is not a man feeling sorry for himself. That is a man who has rebuilt from a shattered leg before and understands exactly what the process looks like.

What Conor McGregor Was Doing in the Clip

Conor McGregor was filmed performing a low cable row, also known as a seated cable row, using a close-grip handle attached to a low pulley. The exercise targets the latissimus dorsi, rhomboids, middle traps, rear delts, and biceps simultaneously, with the core engaged throughout for stability.

It is a foundational upper body pulling movement that builds the kind of back thickness and pulling strength that translates directly to clinch work, takedown defence, and overall cage control. The significance here is that ‘The Notorious’ can train his upper body aggressively while protecting the injured knee entirely, keeping his conditioning sharp and his momentum alive during what could be a lengthy rehabilitation process.

The Return Target Is July 2027

Conor McGregor has confirmed that his next and final fight on his current UFC contract will take place during International Fight Week in July 2027. He wants it to be Max Holloway in a proper trilogy conclusion. The cable row is step one of the journey back to that night.
