Conor McGregor Fires Back at Justin Gaethje at UFC 329 Media Day: ‘Join the Queue, You F**king Bum’

Conor McGregor Fires Back at Justin Gaethje at UFC 329 Media Day

Justin Gaethje made it very clear this week that he wants to punch Conor McGregor in the face. McGregor was asked about it at UFC 329 media day in Las Vegas and delivered exactly the kind of response that has made him the most entertaining figure in combat sports history.

Conor McGregor Puts Gaethje in His Place

There was no diplomatic preamble. Mystic Mac replied:

“Yea, join the queue. Holloway put him face down ass up. Will I go down to lightweight again is another thing I’m not so sure of. I fancy the triple crown. Less of the disrespect you f*cking BUM.”

The Irishman was equally direct about why the Gaethje conversation is premature at this specific moment. The man standing across from him on Saturday night, Max Holloway, already put ‘The Highlight’ face down cold at UFC 300 with one of the most dramatic last-second knockouts in the sport’s history.

McGregor is not spending a single thought on the lightweight champion when the man who finished him is the one he needs to deal with first at T-Mobile Arena on July 11.

Beyond the Holloway focus, ‘The Notorious’ and his team have effectively closed the door on a return to 155 pounds entirely. The logic is straightforward, and McGregor has hinted at it clearly himself. He has already been lightweight champion. He conquered that division, claimed the belt, and moving back down to chase something he has already won holds no interest for him at this stage of his career.

The Third Belt Is the Real Target for Conor McGregor

What does interest Conor McGregor is history. A third UFC world title at welterweight would make him the first ever three-division champion in the promotion’s history, a record that nobody else on the current roster is positioned to achieve. That is the mountain worth climbing, and Saturday night against Holloway is the first step toward it.
